Latest Developments

🤖 Real's AI now works per task, and bills that way

The Rundown: Real unveiled Leo Pro at its RISE conference: 40-plus specialized AI agents, priced by token so you pay for what you use.

The details:

  • CTO Pritesh Damani counted "something like 42 or 45 AI employees" at launch, and projects about 500 within a year

  • It builds video tours from photos, marketing, CMAs and transaction paperwork

  • Real's 36,000+ agents first, REMAX agents later

Why it matters: Per-task pricing makes AI a measurable line item. Track cost per closed file, not per seat.

🏠 Zillow put home search inside Claude

The Rundown: Zillow's new Claude connector lets buyers search listings, check Zestimates and ask for an agent without opening a portal.

The details:

  • Listings keep the same broker and MLS attribution as Zillow.com. Zillow says it sends no data to Anthropic

  • Zillow now sits inside ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude

  • Setup takes a minute: in Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Zillow

Pro tip: Search your own farm area in it. You'll see what a buyer who never opens Zillow.com sees.

🏗️ The Agency builds its own AI instead of renting one

The Rundown: The Agency is building an AI platform on self-hosted models, pulling MLS data, transactions and financials into one place agents query in plain English.

The details:

  • Client and financial data stays on open-source models it hosts. Commercial models handle market analysis

  • EVP Zane Burnett, on commercial models: "we have no idea what's happening there"

  • Leadership gets access in Q1 2027, its 4,000+ agents later that year

What we're watching: Data custody is becoming a recruiting pitch.

💬 Your website could pre-qualify the lead before you dial

The Rundown: Agent Image launched SiteAI, conversational AI layered over your existing site. Answers render as branded pages, not a chat bubble.

The details:

  • It answers from your site content, IDX feed and LiveBy neighborhood data

  • Instead of a contact form you get a brief with budget, neighborhoods, intent and an opening line

  • Fair housing guardrails and AI disclosure are built in. No pricing published

AI Training

⚠️ Three AI mistakes costing agents time

The Rundown: BAM collected how working agents waste AI, with fixes from agents running real teams.

The details:

  • Re-explaining yourself every session. Record a 10 minute brain dump about your business and paste it into your assistant's memory

  • Thin inputs. Krys Benyamein builds a property file from seven sources before asking for a description

  • Robert Cedeno's 25-agent team cut 30 voiceovers from over an hour to 7 minutes with standing instructions. He still approves every AI reply

Do this: Write your positioning statement in three lengths: one sentence, 750 characters for Google Business Profile, 1,500 for your website.
